The Role:
The Business Manager will:
Develop, grow and manage sales operations for various Danish accounts, in order to meet and exceed short- and long-term objectives (sales, profit, growth)
Take responsibility for overall sales performance and key account relationships in the regional territories and managing distributors
Manage all aspects of commercial planning and execution with customers
Key responsibilities include:
Managing in-market brand planning process and execution against budget and KPI's
Identifying & actively exploiting new business opportunities: new customers, new listings and new routes to market
Establishing effective relationships with distributors, retailer's buyers and wholesalers
Working with distributors to develop & implement market strategies & business plans to deliver regional goals
Managing pricing and promotional policy to maintain competitive retail pricing and optimise profitability
Monitoring brand performance & market trends to identify issues, adapting plans & activities accordingly
Forecasting to ensure availability of supply to customer and monitoring orders against plan
Monitoring competitor activity in the market place, utilising market data to identify key customer opportunities and specific actions
Drawing on support from other areas of the business to optimise day to day account service (marketing, customer service, finance, supply chain)
The Successful Applicant:
Must have retail sales experience, ideally in the wine industry
Experience working with distributors and customers
Good understanding of marketing disciplines
WSET or similar wine education
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Numerate with strong financial skills
Strong work ethic and self starting attitude
Good computer literacy
Native Danish speaker and able to present and negotiate in English
