Director of Wine Buying

Competitive salary + bonus + benefits
Enotria is one of the UK's leading wine importers and distributors. We supply both on and off trade businesses of every size and shape with a dynamic portfolio as strong in the New World as it is in its renowned Italian and French portfolios.
The Director of Wine Buying is a key strategic role for the Enotria business and sits on our Operating Board. Working with an inspirational group of over 200 respected producers, you'll build strong and collaborative partnership relationships with these suppliers and continue to lead our strategy to buy the best wines at the most advantageous commercial terms: meeting the needs of our independent, group and national customers in both the on and off trades.
Leading a team of 4, you'll set and drive the delivery of commercial goals and targets for both Enotria and our suppliers; leading price negotiations, influencing the priorities of our Sales teams and promoting the profile of our producers. Your overall goal will be to shape and drive the Buying Strategy that will enable Enotria to remain competitive across all channels of the market and maintain our reputation for one of the strongest, award-winning wine portfolios in the business - a reputation we're very proud of!
We're looking for an experienced and successful wine buying manager who shares our passion for the product and combines this with exceptional commercial know-how and a strategic awareness of the market and consumer trends. Candidates must have extremely strong wine credentials and the ability to apply them in an entrepreneurial and business-focused way. Your style of working with others; suppliers, customers and your team will be both collaborative and influential. In addition, you'll have a track record of building effective relationships with producers around the globe - proficiency in other languages would clearly be a key advantage.
In return, we can offer the opportunity to develop your career in an industry-leading, growing and ambitious business, with a strong culture and value set, together with an attractive reward package.
