The Role
The Fleet Maintenance Manger will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the heavy and light transport fleet at our Al Kharj operation. Reporting to the Divisional Workshop Manager you will manage a team of 130 specialists with 4 direct reporting managers. With over 1000 vehicles, the ideal candidate will have worked in a similar capacity with a minimum heavy fleet capacity of 150 vehicles and ideally 500 + vehicles. A skilled diesel engineer your technical expertise will also cover the latest developments within the road transport industry including fuel management, electro/mechanical sub systems, air suspension and refrigeration systems. You will be a results oriented manager able to work to tight deadlines and have demonstrable achievements within your career to date
Key Responsibilities
Fleet reactive maintenance and preventative servicing schedules
Health and safety champion.
Financial control and budgetary responsibility
Quality assurance procedures
To Identify and plan technical skill base through training and recruitment
Candidates without the following will not be considered
Degree in Mechanical engineering [preferably with Diesel automotive bias]
Minimum 10 years management experience within a fleet maintenance environment
SAP experience
Excellent People management skills
Experienced with large FMCG chilled short shelf life product would be advantageous
Membership of a recognized institution would be advantageous
