Brewery jobs joy as SABMiller toasts sales rise
Brewery jobs at SABMiller were given a boost as the company announced third quarter sales rises.
The brewer, which owns Grolsch and Peroni, said that increasing demand from China and Africa helped boost their sales volumes.
Lager sales rocketed by 12% across Africa, while Chinese demand for the drink grew by 16%.
Organic brews also increased in popularity, with sales up 3%.
A spokesperson said: We have benefited from lower costs of certain raw materials whilst continuing selectively to increase investment in brands and operations.
"The group's financial performance in the quarter was in line with our expectations."
