Senior Manager, Procurement - Direct, Packaging
A new opportunity exists to develop and execute procurement strategies, negotiation plans and commercial agreements relating to the supply of goods and services to Coca-Cola Enterprises. Reporting into the Associate Director, Strategic Procurement, the role covers purchasing of packaging materials, Associated responsibilities will be to control and limit exposure to price volatility, to provide 5 year cost forecasts to enable effective business planning, lead projects to drive cost/material reduction and drive performance improvement.This role has European scope and there will be a significant need to travel, potentially up to 50%, predominantly in our European territories and can be based at any of the European head office sites, although the preference is GB or Belgium..
Key deliverables:
Decision Making and Leadership - lead relevant functions within CCE Europe in developing strategic procurement plans Customer Service (product availability) - select and manage a flexible supply base to support current and future requirements
Quality - Select and manage a supply base to consistently meet CCE Europe's quality needs and ensure suppliers meet required standards.
Financial and Budgetary compliance - forecast and negotiate pricing, identify possible cost reductions and deliver agreed reductions
Development of Workforce - develop an appropriate level of commercial awareness, supplier management skills and knowledge of supplier processes .
Company Policy and Business standards - compile legally acceptable documentation to cover all major contractual arrangements and subsequent sign-off by all parties.
Qualifications Degree caliber preferred, significant purchasing/ commercial experience required to lead this category
Skills
Strategic thinker
Excellent communication skills (able to influence at a senior level)
Evidence of negotiating complex, high volume transactions
Demonstrate the capacity to evaluate issues analytically and commercially
Significant purchasing experience
Previous packaging category experience preferred
Strong project and change management skills
Languages required: Fluent English essential, other European languages an advantage
